Unhappy Transmission and TFATF Question...

Lets say you have a 440 that has 535Hp at the Fly. The vehicle this is being put into is 90/10 Street/Strip. What would be a better choice, a 727 auto, or a833 4 speed. If I'll be using this in a combo with 3.7 or 3.8 gears, somewhere in that vacinity, what would be the most ideal for drag racing and which for street. I keep being recommended to use 727 with a nice stall converter for those quick off the line jumps as well as the added benefit for traffic driving. I think stick is funner and puts you in more control, but at times it can be an annoyance. But from a performance and 1/4 mile aspect, what would do me better? Also, just outta curiosity, me and my friends argue all the time what had to be done to that Charger in the Fake and the Fictious for it to maintain a wheelie that high, for that long, what all would most likelly be required for a vehicle to accomplish that?

For the strip, it's mighty hard to beat an auto. I love my stick in the street, not in traffic.

Wink

I think this might help. You say you want the most performance?
then go with the 4 speed but if you want to go for more constant times at the track go with the auto. A4 speed is more forgiving as far as how big of cam you put in.You can have a big cam with but then you have to sacrifice sum streetability. And with a 4 speed you might save some monny on parts.

Biggrin well, ya'know....

Auto's are the way to go for concistency and ease of traffic driving.
As far as the Charger launch, it was done with hydralics. if you can watch the movie again. hit the frame-by-frame button and you can see the actuators lift the car.

Just so I can have a realistic stand point, what would be needed to get a vehicle to get that kinda air? What kinda chasis work needs to be done? 4.11 or higher rear gears ?
