Hemi in Winston Cup
What are Chrysler's plans with the new Hemi in NASCAR? I know that the 353 cubic inch size will make it the right size, will NASCAR approve it? What has to happen to have it be approved?
Has anyone heard any thing about it? Plans? Etc? |

There was talk about it when the news of Dodges return first hit. Ray Evernham sqashed it in an interview. He said something like NASCAR wouldnt have it. It was supposed to be one of the 3 engine alternatives however, when the engines were first porposed to NASCAR. GM and Frod B!tched enough because the 360 block having a wider bore and therfor is able to have larger valves(all other things being even).. NASCAR may be forced to let them run one once the engine hits the streets in a car..I know it would be amazing to have a NASCAR use a body that actually runs a V8 RWD in production form...simply AMAZING..Hasnt happened in almost 15 years

New Hemi A Fake!
Yes, we've been fooled again! According to the latest issue of Mopar Muscle, the valve lay-out of the "new hemi" is of the "canted" design. Yeah, we've come full circle--now the SB Chrysler "A" engine will be a "polysphere" again! Who woulda thunk it!
