Default Tunnel Rams

I just got one the other day (Thanks again to a buddy that nevers ceases to amaze me with his generousity), I'm wondering about different setups. I've played around with different ideas on Desktop Dyno program, but none really give me a good balance between low end torque and decent top end. One setup gave me 637 h.p. @8500 RPM with 114 h.p.@2000 RPM. Seems to be the hottest right now. Others took me to 137h.p. @2000 RPM with a top end of 511 @7000 (which I like a little better). None of these though were running with a cam that had less than 550 lift for a SB. Anybody else with a tunnel ram setup that could bounce out a couple of ideas?

We had one on the dragster when the hemi was in their. The car would not stay constant. We took it off and put a single 4barrel on her and she was deadly. Also alot of different people we have raced with have had the same problems. Also I have seen desktop dyno be way off a number of times. So you cant really go for with what that says. But it is a good learning tool.

You'll always see me write "according to Desktop" as those numbers are no where near close to the real world. I've heard they have a short peak area that they work well in, not much else. I'm trying to work around some of the flow problems and see if I can come up with a bit broader band. They say the Edelbrocks are supposed to be engineered to work with stock or mildly ported heads. We'll see.

Are you talking 2x4 or single 4?

Edelbrock 2 piece street tunnel ram with twin Holley 450's to be placed on a 328 (formerly 318). I got the setup at a very reasonable rate from another Moparchatter.
