92 JEEP CHEROKEE STUCK IN 3RD GEAR - Moparchat

My Brother has a 92 Jeep (68k-Cherokee(4.0-5spd-4wd)that is stuck in 3rd gear,it happened in the driveway 1st thing in the morning.Any Ideas?Thanks..PRO..

Pro, check to make sure the rails are still attached to the shifter. You may or may not have to pull the cover off the trans. If the rails come loose, it will stay in what ever gear it is in at the time. They are held together with a sheer pin.
