can you take a used mopar performance pcm and have it flashed to your truck without resetting the parameters to factory settings? providing that its off the same identical vehicle.

i guess what i'm trying to say is, if i buy a used mopar perf pcm off another identical vehicle, will it work on mine with a different vin or will it go into limp mode, or possibly have my vin flashed into the pcm and override the vin originally flashed for that pcm.

or will i have to re-flash at all... if it will run with no mil lights coming on, who cares if its a different vin, if my truck don't care i sure the heck don't.

all help appreciated, anybody bought a used mopar performance pcm that has been flashed to a different vehicle, and then install on theirs.... any problems?

You better make sure that the vehicles are identicle, otherwise you could be looking at some real problems.
