i recently purchased a new 2000 jeep wrangler sport...i have noticed that about one minute after i start the motor there is a noise that sounds like what a diesel engine would make..(a churning sound) then after about 15 minutes or so the noise seems to disapate.

Sounds exactly like your air pump!!!!I think Chrysler will tell you its supposed to do that. Its plumbing the pumped air to either atmosphere by way of a muffler or back into the incoming air in the air filter housing somewhere.I have a 91 spirit r/t that also does the exact same thing.....PRO..
