Default ouch...stupid acid

So i'm driving home from my night class the other day and they're workin on the highway, and i hit SOME puddle and have no clue what was in it, but figure it was nothin bad. The next day, i'm washin my D and turns out whatever was in that puddle ate through my clear coat in several places. But thats ok because 1/3 of a bottle of Meguire's step one fixed ALL of that. The bad part is this, whatever it was got on my DURANGO SLT chrome badge on the driver side door and now a 'layer' has peeled off of half of some of the letters, so now it just looks old and crappy. Does anyone know how i can fix this? is there a paint? or maybe some magic?? i appreciate the help..

Don't go through the trouble, get a new badge from the dealership. They are not very expensive.
