Have a good deal of performance items on my 4.0 Grand Cherokee, looking into internal modifications now. I made the Jeep performance page at www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Lane/6966/ and i'm looking for input on cams, port and polishing, roller rockers and anything else internal that can be accomplished.

Did you know that Jeep used to offer a longer stroke crankshaft for the 4.0?I have the article in car craft I believe,they stroke it to almost 300 ci and drop comp to 8:1 and install a supercharger all in a commanche which turned 13.47 ets!!!I'm in the middle of moving this week,I'll dig it out and give you the part # of the crank....PRO..

i drive a jeep comanche with a 4.0...i saw that article and the crank use was one from a 4.2 liter...it has more counter weights...they also had a header from borla and and exhaust...by the way..i am currently rebuilding a mopar 318 with several mods to drop in my comanche...good luck
