Sorry I don't post much. I'm much more of a lurker. The police keep calling it peeping. I gots me a 2002 RT with a KB SC waiting to be installed. Also to be installed is a M1 intake, KB headers with Y pipe & Cat back exhaust. I'll really have to grease the palm of the service manager at the dealership for warranty work. Exterior mods are shown in pic. I won't be post police anymore. Oh, Chrome 20's also due this week.

Nice hood!
Hey mean02rt - I love that hood - could you tell me who makes it, and if you don't mind, where you got it and what you paid?
Thanks! Bill |

Yo Mean:
I agree with the above post, that's a nice lookin D. I like the hood too, and yeah, what he said. I hope that you didn't install the cat-back yet. It's a waste of $$$$$. The R/T exhaust is a bit different than the stock D. Excuse me, other models. The headers & Y-pipe is a good idea though. The money that you spend isn't worth any gain you get. So I take it that your settin up your D as a street machine. You do have AWD, don't ya? I've got #3 set up to go anywhere. It don't have to be the fastest, but faster than stock. I wish that they'd let me post another picture of #3, but they won't. I also took off my running boards. I like the look better, + they hurt when I get in or out. I also want better clearance. I plan on keeping #3 forever, so I have plenty of time for mods. HOWEVER, that's not to say that I haven't done my fair share (plus someone elses) I still want & need a TB. I don't think that I'm gonna go with the M1. At least not now. I have a money to power index that I use. I'm real cheap! I'm also real anal when it comes to the D. Hell, I've had it since last June, and I've only put 3K on it. I know, I'll get me some of those girls in silk robes with flower baskets to throw down rose petals in front of me wherever I go. They better be fast. Later Ugg |

The hood is a steel unit from Reflexxion. Cost about $400 from Summit. I think the factory RT exhaust is only 2.5 inches. A supercharged motor would breath better with an aftermarket 3" setup. I hope to have all the go fast stuff installed some time this month!

actually the exhaust on the durango/dakota R/T is a free flow muffler made by dynomax (the gibson is also the exact same design).
i replaced the stock muffler on my 5.2, with a gibson catback, and the only thing i noticed was the tone. nothing on the butt dyno. if you are doing the install on the SC let me know how it goes. i hear they are a pain in the a$$. |

Hey Mean:
Some people say that the got 2.5" pipes, amd some say 3". They look like 3's to me, but I have never measured them. I'm just going by eyeball. So, your building a street machine, huh? You didn't answer my question, do you have AWD? Or do ya have 2WD? Later Ugg |

I never actually measured the factory pipe, It may be 3". My truck does have AWD. I can't wait to do a 4 wheel smokey burnout!
