Default Help..Lokar Kickdown Cable..

Hey folks...I need some help. I swapped out a 750 Speed Demon for an 800 Edelbrock unit...(totally happy with the swap btw). And now the kickdown doesn't seem to function even though I didn't change the cable any except to relocate it to the Edlebrock unit. I also misplaced the instruction sheet that came with the cable.

So my big question is...and I hope to have an answer within the hour or so...how do I readjust this cable to work right? I seem to recall the instructions saying something about leaving an inch worth of play at the throttle linkage connection but can't remember for sure.

Does anyone know how to get the adjustment within the ballpark on a 440/727 combo? All help is definitely appreciated.

Set the carb to WOT and then adjust the cable so the kickdown is fully engaged. DONE!

If I recall correctly, LOKAR has a drawn out process to achieve the same end result.

Question Engine builder DC/MD/VA area

Hey Ehostler, I see you're in Manassas, VA. Are you or do you know a good engine builder in your area? I'm in Bowie, MD and unfortunately have no time or proper tools right now. - RR

Sorry, I don't know of any good engine builders in the area. Andrew (abalto) may know of a good shop in the area. He's about halfway between DC and Baltimore.
