Stupif Question...Damper Problems...HELP
Ok, I'm no expert at this, only did it once on a brand new 4 banger engine, but I'm having problems removing the damper. Should I be using a larger puller? Am I grabbing from the wrong spot?

Wrong type of puller. You are using a gear puller. You need a puller that will bolt to balancer.
Hope this helps. |

Yes, you are pulling from the wrong spot! See those bolt holes around the crank bolt hole? Thread a few and pull on those. If you can rent a puller, even better.

You can get a puller for real cheap. Like the others have said it uses the bolt wholes for the crank pulley. I don't think you'll get it off trying to pull it like that.
