2x4 air cleaners
gonna start turning wrenches as soon as i log off--have a 62 300 sport 2dr hdtp w/original 383--93,000 documented mi. runs great, drove from cape cod to charlotte, n.c. non stop when i bought it last oct. now for the good part--aquired a fact. 2x4 intake which i have bead blasted & repainted fact. turquoise- set up w/2 elec. choke edelbrock 600s. have 440 6 repro. cam, new double roller chain set,etc. all going in this weekend. already have mopar electronic ignition, 2 1/2 in. stainless duals w/crossover, rebuilt 727 w/ b&m shift kit (can bark second at will). just want some opinions on this combo and want to find some factory oval air cleaners at a reasonable price for my giant sleeper. (have really pissed off some of those 5.0 punks on test & tune night) thanks for any input.

There's no such thing as a reasonably priced factory type oval air cleaner. So far, the cheapest I've found are the fiberglass repro's at Year One and The Paddock. Forget Ebay, every one I've seen there has gone for an outrageous price! I'm still running a pair of the little cheapie 6&1/2" Checker Auto specials until I can afford one of the fiberglass repro's.
