aluminum waterpump housing
i still have my original cast one, and i was wondering if it is worth getting one of these, its for a 440, and i was wondering if the weight reduction is worth it, i also was told they they flow a lot better, and experiences and suggestions would be great,
thanks, joe |

The weight savings is only a few pounds. They do flow better than MOST stock pumps. Reason is there modeled after the best stock flowing pumps.
I run a s/b and the MoPar unit I am useing works great. Unlike some other junk brands I've had. |

i think he means a bb housing. I use the cast iron housing a hi flow pump.
Unless its a drag car the few lbs of weight loss is money pissed away. |

Reducing weight should be a high priority on a drag car. An aluminum WP housing by itself would not be noticable on your et, but it is a start. 100 pounds will make a big difference in your et, and it is easier to find 20 places to loose 5 pounds than to find one place to loose 100#.

i have been looking into several things that will reduce weight, including a one piece fiberglass font end, but nobody has any feedback on it,
thanks for the help, Joe |
