Exclamation 1980 Aspen 360

Here is a current picture of my purchase:

It currently has a /6, but doesn't run. My plan is to put in a 360. I was just wondering what you guys thought would make this car look good. So far I've been thinking about some chrome rims, and taking off the trim around the wheel wells, since one piece is missing. Any suggestions? And, I just looked at this car, and the dark spots one the bottom of the body is dirt, not rust!

I love these cars with the flared fenders. The body kits with the spoilers and flares and lowered with wide wheels look great. I'd have one of these myself if it were'nt for the smog restrictions in Ca.

Here is a picture of my 80 Volare Roadrunner clone. Purchased off or Trwaters last year. Now has a 360 loaded with forged slugs and balanced. This is backed up with a 4-speed and a 4:10 posi rear. I've done a few f-bodies and would be glad to help with any problems you encounter. I've hit most of them.

hey, tthanx! So far, I've washed the car, and buffed the paint out just to see how the original paint would shine. Let me tell u it does still have some life left in it! I've also stripped the engine compartment to get it ready to paint. I've bought a parts car, and now have the V8 k-frame and rear end. Ok, here is a question for you guys, it has the 80 style hood and grill, is it possible to convert that to a 76-79 look on the front??? Well, thanx everyone.

Speaking of k-frames, Performance Suspension has just released some poly bushings that might work on our cars. They are around a $95 and should help with the handling. I'm buying a set soon to try it out. Just a thought.

I will be in the process of changing an 80 to a 78 front end-as far as I know it will bolt on-at least that is what I was told
the guy I bought the 80 off of had a diplomat(I think, this was 2 years ago and at the time I really didnt care)
he had an 80 volare front clip on it-it was a bolt on
made it look different

Fronts are interchangeable. I saw a Volare wagon in a yard that had a Fifth Avenue front end on it and Fifth Avenue front doors which even had the chrome under the windows. Can't remember if it had hte Fifth Avenue fenders or not. Looked like it was like this for a while becasue the paint matched the rest and it was all aged and gone flat.

There's an 80s Volare Road Runner I've seen here that looked to be in decent shape, wasn't for sale and sadly it was being winter driven.

What's the ground effects from? Is that stock?

Question That's your car huh??

Hey 1980RR,
it's funny that the picture of "your car" is the same exact picture that is on a buddy's F-body website and it has a HEMI in it and it's owned by a guy named Tom. Hmmmm, very interesting.......

go here for the truth.
