Default 360 Oil Pan Problem

I am rebuilding a 360, 727 tf, 8 3/4 rear to install in my 1973 Duster. The block and oil pan are out of a 1976 Cordoba. It has a center sump pan. I installed a Melling's high volume oil pump. Reinstalled the stock pick up, and now the pan wont clear the pump. Will the center sump work (clear k- frame) in my Duster or do I need a rear sump pan. Does anyone now where i can buy a reasonabily priced pan and pickup??

You'll need the same type of pan that came with the car, check with Milodon.

The car originally came with a slant-six.

Doobiemon: The center pan should work fine. If the car was a /6 what are you doing about the motor mounts? You will need to change the K-member or get a engine swap kit, Schumacher sells some great kits for this. www.engine-swaps.com
Also note that the / six center link will not work, you will need one from a v8 car.

Doobiemon,
The pump is a little big on the back side. You just need to clearance it a little by grinding the pump! I had the same problem and thats the only way to fix it, Unless you want to take a hammer to that pan? Which isn't a good idea cause you could warp it and it won't seal good! Good Luck!
