Default 408 stroker

Trying to gather some info on a 408 stroker for a magnum style ram. i would like my power range to be idle to 4000rpms. After the cubes are added, would the motor need larger fuel injectors? M1 intake(however won't this hurt the bottom end?) larger TB? Larger vavle heads or further porting to add more fuel? i would like to pull as much tq and horsepower out i can that is usuable with a broad power range. Currently i have trouble just passing.

adding the cubes is goign to add alot of low end torque. upping to an m1 intake is goign to be more for the upper end horsepower. You just really need to pay attention to your useable power range. your TB will flow enough on the bottom end, and make it more responsive with the extra cubes, but it will choke you on the upper limits, but that's a spot you shouldn't be worried about. Same with the injectors. with torque being a goal down low, opening up the heads more would contradict that goal, same with bigger valves.

Default Sons truck

My son did this. Call Hughes Engines. He could not begin to run with my V10. He now runs away from me. He claims gas milage is the same. Very good results. Hughes, 1 309 745 9558.

try this...

360 .030 over 4" stroke(408cid)
mp 285/295 roller cam 4 degrees advanced
hughes stage 2 ported magnum heads
9.5:1 compression
700cfm EFI
dual plane intake
small tube headers-free flowing exaust

desktop dyno gives this estimate

2000-176 hp 462 tq
2500-230 hp 484 tq
3000-279 hp 488 tq
4000-382 hp 502 tq
4500-419 hp 489 tq
5000-448 hp 470 tq
5500-456 hp 436 tq
6000-452 hp 395 tq

not only could you pull a loaded fright train(with the right gears) but you will have all the power you want and more...
