Hey Dave I'm running a pair of ( 275x60x15 ) Hoosier Q.T's on a set of cop wheels on the rear of my 68'. I had to beat on the wheel well some, tight fit, but it looks really rad.

I am running a pair of 245/60/14 's on my 72 swinger. The wheels are backspaced 3 3/4" and I have about 1/2" clearance to the outer wheelwell. If you backspace 4-4 1/2" you should be able to get a couple of sizes wider in there. My wheels are 14 X 7 's. 15 X 8's would have to be backspaced at least 4 1/2" to get a good tire under there.

I'm in the same boat here also. I have checked around for tires, and rims and it seems that almost all the good tires are too wide. I have small bolt pattern all the way around the car.

I'm going with Centerline Autodrags, 15X6 front and 15X8 in the rear.

I ran 3 plumbs in my wheel well in the back and got approx. 10.25" from the inner wheel lip to the side of the leaf spring. With approx 5" from the inner wheel lip to the front of the drum, and 5.25" from the front of the drum to the side of the spring.

Do these measurements sound close? I would like to put a 26X10.5-15 M/T E.T. Street but I know this is too big.

Any help would be appreciatted.

Mike

10 1/2" is too wide, I tried a 26 X 9 X 15 on my 72 swinger and it still seemed too tight. I think a 8 1/2" is all you are gonna get in there without modifications.
