I recently removed my cat and replaced the O2 sensor. Truck runs much better but periodically the check engine light comes on. Only computer code is 32 - EGR system open/short cct. Truck is '94 2500 4x4 318 5 speed, stock motor except 3" exhaust and K&N Gen1 filtercharger, 60000mi.
Any history of EGR system problems? What would EGR have to do with exhaust/intake mods? Any input appreciated.

may have a bad solenoid on the egr back preasur transducer in other words you may need a coplete egr valve assembley only way they are service also removeing that cat may not give enough back preasure to open the egr vavle so that could also set the code

I have the same problem with my 94 dakota. See if the egr is opening up as the engine warms up from a cold start. If it opens your ok. just ignore the light, if not, you need an egr valve assembly.
