Proform carb main bodies
I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience running a Proform carb main body? Advertisments I've seen claim a 25-50 HP increase by just changing your Holley carb main body with one of theirs.

I ran one one a 3310 on my 392 for a while before going to a dual 4 bbl. setup. I don't know if it helped much, as I never ran it down the track with the stock carb body on it. It definately ran as good of times as the current dual Edelbrock 600's do. The only problem I ran into with it was that the holes for the locating pins for the rear metering block were drilled a little too deep and seeped gas, as I have a metering plate on my carb. Once I figured out where the gas was coming from, a little JB Weld solved that problem!

Mine works great. I love it and recomend it to anybody. Doubt 25+ horsepower. That's just an advertising thing.
I had the same problem with the hole drilled a little too far. Same thing, a dab of JB weld and it's done. |
