Getting 20mpg avg w/'01-24v- 4.10-4x2 listed below. Had a 95 CTD reg cab 12v-4x2 got 20mpg avg as well. 30mpg is great! Do you drive alot of freeway miles? I drive approx 60% fwy / 40% in town.

I had a 94 same as yours and was getting same mileage as you. My new 1 is a pig on fuel compared to it, about 9 to 10 mpg less.

KD - interesting ET on yurrr truck !....add about 10 seconds and deduct about 25 mph to get mine !!.......... but it pulls nice at 18 hun!!

c3 - LOTS of hwy miles .....it is going to be used in an RV and hauling application with a 5' frame and cab extension.

AA - I also have a 98 24v 4wd that I am selling - it ALSO gets about 8 to 10mpg less than the 12v..............what is with these 24v's ??

Heres a couple of videos on March 17 of this year :

First Run 13.67
On the first run I was pumped and ready to roll.....you'll notice alot of smoke floating around.....I had gotten upto the line..staged and mashing the throttle......well the other guy staged...then backed up....so the starter took longer then I expected so I had to let off since I looked up and it was around 25psi......hence my late start...I tried to build a lil bit before taking off again.

13.46 Run

Mr Glass, You may not have a video player. I got mine free on real.com . It's not the best, But the price was right. Better ones cost money on the site.

Hey Doc, if you're using dial up, forget the video download. It'll take forever.

I get about 19 towing my car trailer at 70 - 75 mph. That's all I really use it for, so I don't know what it gets around town.

Each one of the videos is 1.30 megs. Hardly a big file size, even if your on dial up.

Its possible you don't have the proper player to view it. I view them in Windows Media Player. If nuthing happens when you click the link, try "right clicking" the link......select "Save target as" and save it to your hard drive...and then watch it.

1.3mb would take more time than I would have had patience for over my old 28.8 dialup connection.

Biggrin CUMMINS MPG SURE BEATS GAS!!!

My recently acquired 24V 99 2500 Quad Cab with A/T and 3.54 ratio averages about 16-17 mpg in daily commuter use, about 60 miles per day with about 75% being highway and the remainder being slow and go. This compares with my 94 2500 360 gas doing
about 13-14 mpg under the same circumstances. At my last fill up I paid 12 cents a gallon less than 87 regular. Do you think I miss my old gas truck?
