Question Chrysler Truck??? WHAT THE ....?

Has anyone seen this?

http://www.car-truck.com/chryed/buzz/b032102.htm
(second half of the page)

What the hell is going on? Is it my imagination or did DC say they weren't going to bring the Ramcharger to the US or build the Adventurer (basically a new 4-dr Ramcharger) because "We feel the SUV has peaked and don't think we can capture a sufficient portion of the market to make these projects worth while." (not verbatum) And how many Suburbans, Expeditions, & Excursions do you see running the roads these days????

Since then, Buick, Saturn, Kia, Lincoln, Cadillac, BMW, Mercedes, Oldsmobile, and just about every other brand has introduced a new SUV, and seem to have done reasonably well (although I have not checked sales #'s). But remember, over 2+ years ago, DC thought the SUV market had peaked!

Now, there are rumors of a Chrysler truck, I guess to compete w/ the Blackwood & Escalade EXT??? WTF??? Does Daimler have ANY clue as to what the hell is going w/ the US vehicle market??

This might be the first step into uncovering what Ziggy Heil was up to in the first place.. Bringing Benz into the SUV/ truck market. They sure as hell didn't want the cars to begin with- so they were laying up stories of debt and hidden losses- but I think thats all a crock of S#^t. The want to get rid of DCP and keep the truck line since they wouldn't have a chance at selling with their current 1902 designs from Merc. Funny how the design is starting to echo the mercedes front end on the pacifica

Yes, that FUGLY POS is based off of the FUGLY MAXX CAB. These f'ing morons keep wanting to build the fugliest things that they can, not what we want. In Germany, they are used to driving FUGLY a$$ cars, so they think that americans want FUGLY cars as well.

They need to get their heads out of Germany and put them in America and see what we really want.

I can only hope they they did something to change the oddly styled front grille area of the Maxx cab show truck. The concept isn't so bad, but the execution was odd, at best. I like the idea of a Chrysler badged truck, having an upscale truck in the line to complete with Escalade and Expedtion sales may not be a bad idea, but looking at this thing here, I have to say, it looks like the answer to a question, that no one asked.

Hey Topbanana, this is a little off the subject but when I saw the picture of your dart I thought I was looking in my own garage. My duster looks the same. It is the same color and almost the same sanded spots but I have to admit it has a little more rear fenders. Just thought that was interesting.

Ze germans just have no real clue.everything the Merged Chrysler has put out has been Blah(The New Ram) or UGGGLLLYYY. The Chrysler truck should have been the POWER WAGON...not that freakin ugly A$$ Max Cabb...that truck is a horrible. They should have fired the designer that made it and any designers in the room near it...It will only taint you...I hope they sell off the bones of chrysler to someone who has a clue. Not a single concept car since the Charger R/T and Power wagon have I liked even a little...

I think with the chevy Avalanche its proven that americans like ugly cars. Kind of like when the ford taurus came out in the eighties.

lets face it, Ma Mopar has to make money, and they are missing out BIG TIME on the suv market, Bottom line..suv's sell and there are only a few on the market for chrysler, Durango, Cherokee, and liberty. then there is the German lux SUV. now take a look at Chebby and FORD they each have about 6 to choose from , not to incude the caddy and lincoln models and GMC. and they ALL sell. Dodge needs a full size suv to compete with ford and GM . there is alot of cash they are not getting because people go somewhere else to get what they want.
