Question '97 3.5L Check Engine Light, bad EGR?

The other day the check engine light came on on my 1997 Chrysler Concord 3.5L. (with 104,000+ miles.)

using the key on-off-on-off-on test, I got codes:
12 - battery disconnected
32 - EGR circuit
55 - End of Codes

As far as I know, the battery has not been disconnected for several years?
I think the EGR circuit? is bad. The FSM shows a strange EGR setup, has anyone ever worked on this problem?

Sorry for the long time before replying, I just got back from Vacation.
The EGR valve itself was OK, but there is a pressure control unit with an electronic connection that controols the EGR valve. Anyhow the Diphram of this control unit was leaking. The Dealer only sells both EGR peices as a "kit" for a bit more than $100.
I replaced the EGR and control and disconnected the battery ground to clear the codes. That code went away, and a few days latter I got another code for a mis-fire. The spark plugs had over 50,000 miles on them (Auto-Lite Double Platnum) and they really needed to be replaced. Replacing the plugs fixed the problem for another week, but I got the same code again. When I changed the spark plugs the wires looked like they needed to be replaced too, and measured on the high side when I did a resistance check, but I ran the old wires since the dealership was closed.
I finally went and got new wires ($70) and I decided to get a new coil pack also ($100) so everything on the ignition system is new.
That fixed that problem, and so far the check engine light has not came back on.
