My 88 Ram100 pickup recently developed a coolant leak. It is very hard to tell but it seems to be leaking from the intake or possibly the very short hose that comes from the the water pump to the block that is right next to the intake. It started after I had driven it farely far and then it sat. That's when the leak started. It was a small spraying leak. As I said it's right near the intake and that hose. It was hard for me to tell. The hose is in bad condition so maybe that's it. I don't think coolant should be spraying from the intake?!?! Anyone with a 3.9 pre-magnum know where that coolant is coming from for sure? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Well I don't have a V-6, but I would venture a guess that it is your hose. A leak that was comming from the block or intake would leak all of the time or when you started your engine. A spraying leak is usally from a hose, and you will only see it when the motor is hot and has pressure. When the hose heates up and pressure makes it swell up, the crack/hole is then opened up and sprays.
