Open headers
Does it hurt the engine if you run open headers? One person told me that you will warp your valves while others say that I have nothing to worry about. I only run them open every once in a while, it's not a everyday driver type of thing. Thanks

Open headers on the street?
Why would you want to? It may sound nice to you and a few others but the police will notice quicker. But the answer to your question is that you can warp valves running open headers on the street and that can be expensive and time consuming.

Probably not the answer to the question, but I used to run open headers at the track...just because everyone else did, but found that I ran quicker times through the exhaust (2.5 with 3 chamber flowmasters)

are you talkin uncapped headers, or strait off the motor w/out any kind of manifold on them? uncapped headers are fine, actually, i love doin that...i have 12.5:1 compression so i don't have much unspent fuel...if your not runnin any kind of manifold at all, that will warp the valves...
