The Pertronix kit my buddy used was for an OEM Ford dist only. It had a reluctor that slipped over the old cam and a pickup that screwed into the original points holes. It has 2 wires, a 12V+ from ignition, and a trigger (-) to the coil. It is a real nice unit that keeps the stock look but is much better than points. Instant gratification on start up, it was that much better than his points.
