engine controller trashed
Okay... here's what happened..... I was doind my futre mods ( included in signature ) this weekend and everything was going smooth. I installed my msd and the truck was runnin fine. Next time i looked at my guages, my check engine was lit... I went to one of my friends who works at a service station end he hooked up a scanner to my truck. The code was for the engine coolant temp sensor. I ordered a new one and installed it. When I went to start the truck..... I wouldn't catch. After hours of searching, we came across an old jeep engine conroller and plug in my wires. The truck started briefly then stalled. So...... my computer was trashed. I believe it's because of all the changes AND I forgot the JET chip in when i installed the MSD. So, here's my question.....Should I buy a Mopar Performance engine controller for 439? Is it worth it? Or should I get a stock replacement R/T controller at cost... ( by the way, they are 279!!!!) Will a stock one hold up with my mods?

Sal:
Now I've heard that the Je Chip screws things up with te way that your engine runs, but never to whre it wouldn't start at all. A 439 engine? What's that? I also hear that it's darn near impossible to get an R/T PCM. You may have some other problems dude. Good Luck Ugg |
