im currently building a 78 power wagon with
a dana 60 front axle,14 bolt corp rear,4:56
gears,a 74 400 and new process 435 4 speed,
also a 4" lift and 3" body lift to clear 38"
tires is it worth the extra money to buy a fuel cell and mount it in the bed or is the stock tank a better option, the stock tank now is plastic and real close to the drive shaft

Depends on what the truck will be used for... If it's a street truck,I'd personally leave in the stock tank,it's protected by the frame. The fuel cell can be mounted in the bed,but if you were ever to be hit from behind....you know the deal.
