Any Problems with 2002 Durangos?

My wife and I are considering purchasing a 2002 Durango SLT Plus. I've been reading about break problems on this forum for some Durangos.

Are any of you aware of problems for 2002 Durangos? Is there a big difference between the 2001 and 2002s? Any feedback on the 4.7L engine?

I'm also considering the Explorer, Envoy, and Yukon.

I'd appreciate any advice/suggestions.

My wife looked at all the others, and then went with the durango. we love it! the brake problem you read about is because in trying to save weight/money, dc (like everyone else) tried to save some money, but as a result, the rotors on the front wear fast, and heat up and warp quick. the dak I had didn't have this problem, but I always geared down too, so I guess mine didn't get as hot and warp. I traded it for the 02 ram and it had 40k with no problems that I didn't cause except for the offset rear axle housing.

I don't know of any systemic problems with the '02s. I have never had brake problems on my '99 with 48k miles.
