383 Edlebrock ???
I have a 383 in a 68 dart But neither i or my friends know these carbs (got it free new carb). What is a good jet size and meatering rod to start with for a 383 with a Edlebrock 750 and a performer RPM intake .

Stock rods and jets to start. I think you'll have to go leaner. Grab a jet/rod kit like Carters and work the rods leaner. When you get to the smallest rods, swap out the jet that will make the same rod and jet combo but with the fattest rod as so you can go leaner with the rods again. Thats the beauty of a Carter/Edel.

Go to Edlebrock's website. They have a pretty cool tech manual on-line, with recommendations for rod and jet changes. I'd start with edlebrocks "as delivered" setup and check the plugs. Then go richer to go faster, or leaner to save gas. BTW, I believe that the electric choke model is delivered on the lean side for street use. So you could start with the manual choke rods and jets for a performance setup. The rest of the induction/exhaust setup will dictate your needs- manifold, cam, headers, etc. Hope this helps.
