Default comp roller rocker help

I just put a new racer brown custom cam in my buddys 70 340 along with valve springs. We are now trying to put on a set of the comp roller rocks 1.5 ratio. We got the custom pushrods from comp to go with the rr's. I though you were supposed to set them up by going to 0 lash then 1/4 to 3/4 turns past. But even at 3/4 turns past the pushrod hits the rocker arm. It doesnt sit right till like 2 turns past. I this right? 2 turns pat 0 lash is a hell of alot of preload on the lifters. please help..gotta drive this bad boy tomorrow and cam help at comp is closed weekends.

thanks

I was just speaking to you via the A4spdCuda, aol thing. You called someone how told you they were 2 large? I would have figured 2 small since you have to keep turning the adjuster.
well, glad your going to be up and running anyway. Looking foward to find out about the length issue when you return.

thanks for your help. The puchrods were about an 1/8th too long. the reason we had to keep turning the adjuster is to get the pushrod to stop touching part of the rocker arm that was in front of where it actually sits. Got the car started with the new cam and it has a real nice idel

So how many turns did you end up turning the adjuster with the correct pushrods? I am going through the same dilemna on a big block. Mopar book says 1 1/2 to 2 turns, Comp catalog says 3/4- 1 turn. These are iron adjustable rockers on a 383.
