Custom wheel drilling?
Does anyone know if any of the major manufactures like Weld, cragor, centerline, etc. will drill a different bolt pattern than they have advertised? I have yet to get a response back from them.
I need 5X5.5... |

They all should have that bolt pattern in certain models/styles.

Used to work for a wheel company. They will not drill a different pattern than they offer on the wheel because of liability issues. Each bolt circle on each wheel has to run through an independent lab test sequence, and it just costs too much to certify one-off requests.
It used to be that you could buy wheel with NO bolt holes machined, and then have your own machine shop do it - no more. By the way, my best friend owns the only independent custom wheel test lab West of the Mississippi |

What about drilling a second pattern, like the ricers dual pattern wheels? I know Crager SST's have oval patterns to accomadate 2 sizes. Look on the back of the wheel for the built up areas for the bolt holes. It may not be possible to drill a second offset pattern.

A buddy of mine found a Vega in a barn....no joke...and called centerline to get a set of custom sized rims for the car. He couldn't find the rim size in there catolog. They did him the deal of $99 a wheel.
