Default Crankcase evacuation system?

On my 360 mopar i seem to get alot of oil in the air breather on the valve cover. enought so it becomes a pain and get alittle messy and drips on the header. Motor is new Mopar short block , does'nt smoke. Will the crank evac system help me?

Am I to understand, that you are not running with a pcv valve?

Very good idea to put one in, otherwise the crankcase pressure will case many oil leaks. The breather is just the begining.

Baffled valve covers? If not, make baffles there. On my experience the crank case evacuation system does not work effectively wit full exhaust. I used it for years, but measured the pressure in the hoses at dyno last time and there was significant pressure, enough to blow one house during one run. Now I only have a catch can where the hoses from the breathers go.

i've got two breathers on my left valve covers on my 340, no pcv, no problems... in fact, the only vacuum ports being use are for my brake booster and my vacuum advance.

my valve covers do have baffles on it, but no leaks or anything. when i first got it on the road, i ran w/out the hood on and at an idle, i had a little smoke out of the breathers, but that was it.

heres a pic of my valve covers w/breather tubes.
