Default Carb adapter??? Which one?

I need a carb adapter for a Holley 650 dp the list # is 4777-2.

It is going on a 1970 340 intake, and the adapter cannot be very high. Any ideas? Thanx alot.

I have a Duster, which has always had low hood clearance, and run an Edelbrock carb on a Performer intake. I had to use an adaptor because of the spread/square routine. I used the Mr. Gasket 1" adaptor and marked the gasket edges top and bottom on it. Then used my Dremel to smooth flow, otherwise I had a hesitation. Don't use the Edelbrock triangle foam air cleaner, they don't work well with Mopars. Get the Spectre carb/air cleaner spacer kit and use the 3/4" to clear linkages for a drop base air cleaner (14") and a Fram CA136 filter. It seems like a lot to put in that small space, but it works fine for me. Even if I put my flat hood on.

Default On my 440

I used the Spectre spreadbore adapter on my 440, no problem, and no higher than the Holley. Plus only $14 at Autozone

Default re

I'm putting this carb on a 1970 Dart. I know I have less room because I put my buddies carb (Exactly the same as mine) on my Dart and I had to take the wing nut bolt off that holds the air cleaner on. I also couldn't put my air cleaner on, it is the factory mopar 340 air cleaner.

The carb I borrowed had a 2" adapter plate though. I need an adapter plate with an inch or less. Anyone have a part # for this type of adapter?

Thanx for the replies.

Mike

The one that I use is the Mr. Gasket #1932. There are many others available, but that one worked for me.
