It's a little difficult to tell from those pictures. Does the motor turn over, at least by hand? How much rust is on the underside? What do the trunk extensions look like? What options are there and which are missing by the numbers? Which parts are missing? Are they easy and inexpensive to find? What kind of finished product do you want out of it? These are all questions you have to ask and answer honestly to help figure out whether or not it's worth it. Depending on price, it may be worth picking up just as a parts car to sell off trim or cores, etc. What do they want for it, and what do you want out of it?

If I had access to that car, I'd bring it home and deal with the wife afterwards.

Get rid of the wife. She's getting onbetween you and the car.
Looks better than my car! Just grab a carpet, seat covers, and drop in a create engine and trans. Rear if needed. Your done. Looks good enuff to me. Don't let'er slip by. Who cares if it's a '76. If it bothers you that much, I'll give you my address so you can drop it off.

If I had it, I'd put my 340/727 in it. - At least until I could find a 360/998 for it. How much would you have to have?

If that is really a 360 Duster here are the numbers:
1974 Duster 360 3, 969
1975 Duster 360 1, 421
1976 Duster 360 no listing available
The total production of Darts and Dusters for the 1974-75 model runs total less than 10,000 produced what a rare find. tell the wife she has gotta go and the dog can also pack his bags the car is definently worth saving. Can you confirm that it is really a 360 car?

The post did not intend to infer that the 360 was not available in 1976 only that it was an option, not listed as a 360 high performance model as in previous years. The VIN is difficult to read could you post it in type? This is definately a saver car it is very rare and will provide historic and sales value in future years.

Thumbs up

Needs a lot of work it seems, but get it. You'll regret it if you don't.

Just take your wifie to dinner before you do. Send her some flowers, too.

Broads...

Not listed as high perforamance? Its listed as the E-58 for which everything I've read says the 4bbl hi-perf. The only thing with 76' is the 360 Duster lost its "special" treatment. It turned into an engine option and not a model as in 74' and 75' Sid for all the searching I've done on my own car yours is the only other 76' I've heard of and a handfull of 75' cars. Hopeing Galen Govier can tell me some more about my car when I employ his services.
