Thats OK, I'm preety bad at spelling!
$300 huh? Well, at that , a cam and most of the parts can be had. Other wise, for about the same price theres;

Headers, but not the hole system to the bumper. (Unless U fab it) OR
Intake, carb and air cleaner. (Depending on whats purchased) OR
an Ignition system in full. (Again, depending on whats purchased.)

Just have fun. I allways purchase a part, inspect it, shelf it, put it all together when I get all the parts together.
EX;
Cam, liffters, springs, retainers, locks, P-rods, rockers if up grading, and then the heads. (If they need an upgrading or fixing/porting.)(Intake and carb combo if needed with the new above parts.)

hey what gear and rearend does it have? If ok, I would go for a intake and cam! The factory carb is a pretty good piece when right!

I think Mancini Racing has them for less than $200. But premium stuff like richmond gears are about 50-75$ more. You could probably get going for $350 including installation if you know someone how will help setting it up!

Well what does he think you should spend your money on. If he is a big time Mopar racer than I would believe he would have tons of parts laying around.

For the most noticeable improvement a rear gear set would work. For the engine I would do what rumblefish says. A lot of the HP stuff works the best when it is used all together. However, i would upgrade to electronic ignition for reliability and it will give you a better performing ride. That's just me though...I dunno what's Dad say?

My suggestion - which you likely don't want to hear - is: do the boring stuff first, to build a great foundation for the car as you add on the "gee whiz" parts later. I'd do the suspension - get a polygraphite kit from PST - under $300 - or the brakes - everything premium, and then, when you finally get it fast, at least it will stop!
After that stuff, I'd follow Rumblefish's suggestion and accumulate parts for it to put on/in at the same time.
How is the basic engine? How many miles since the last rebuild? If a rebuild is in your future, you might want to scout up a junkyard complete engine for about $300 to $500 to start building, while you drive the one that's in it. It's a bunch easier to take your time overhauling an engine on a stand, while your driving the car, then when it's all done, drop it in over a weekend and have some fun!

Best of luck from an old dummy.... Doug
