Default roadrunner vs. lawnrunner....

hehehe....

my mom thinks me and dad need theropy....

heres my latest project (while i'm waitin on parts for my car) the lawnrunner!

it has a 400cc briggs and straton, and a 5 speed transaxle. its 36" deck. it will do wheelies! 5th gear, full throttle, me sittin back, drop clutch!

how fast do you think this would go in 1/4 mile? 10 minutes at 2mph? i wanna hear responses! smart allecky or not! this is funnier than hell!

You know some people do actually race lawn mowers

No kidding I actually saw it on TV once on one of the ESPN channels, cannot remember which. All I know is they were going a lot faster than I had ever seen a lawnmower go

i have seen dirt, and mud races w/lawnmowers, but i have yet to see drag racing.... maybe i'll start sumthin like that. a good place would be main! hahaha...that'd be sumthin else, whoopin a little honda (which wanted to go again on saturday, no competition) on a LAWN RUNNER!

maybe my moms right, maybe me and dad do need theropy... i don't know....

Umm, OK, yeah, much too much free time on your hands...

Therapy? No. Just get another Mopar and re-direct your energies (and $$) to that.

Threads like this make me feel normal!! Make a tube fram to increase the front about 2 feet then a 3.9L V6 outta do the trick.

hey, my grandpa's got a welder, i can get some metal....careful, don't tempt me!

hehe....i need to update the pics of it, but my grandma took her digital camera back. it has red "400 CC" stickers on the side where the black is.

BTW: if i do put a 3.9L V6 in it, i would have to get a tranny and a rear end because it has a belt driven transaxle on it. the pulley is on the top.

i do have a Briggs and Stratton 18 Horse twin cylinder (not V but accross from eachother) that i pulled from our not so wet river....needs bored, still turns by hand, needs a little bit of work, but i could make a little driveshaft and remount the transaxle (its a horizontle shaft motor) and also regear the transaxle, take the brake off the clutch pedal and make a brake pedal, a different throttle control (probably a brake lever off a bicycle or sumthin) and i would have one helluva mower (minus the blade deck, no way to put the belts on w/a horizontle shaft motor)

You know after all this talk of drag racing mowers, My buddy's got a wreckyard, I think I'm gonna go there and were gonna build a V-8 mower and take it to the run what ya brung races, hehe, I think I could find a way to rig up a drive train with 4 wheeler rear end, a little tube framing and voila! a ten second mower

Just be sure and turn the blade over...or you'll end up with an Auger instead of a Hoovercraft and end up in China

hmm...bad advice for a 17 year old eh?

i'm actually considering one of those 'electric superchargers' for it, only home built from a much cheaper unit from a hardware store... i figure, maybe if i hook it up to the charging system it has (basically the wires for the headlights), the blower motor will spin faster when i rev the engine faster (headlights dim bad at low rpm, and get bright at high rpm...).

THEN...maybe a pipe running under the body, and exiting in front of the left rear tire...maybe some wheelie bars to keep me from flipping over backwards which has happened several times...and i thought about a different sized pully either on the transaxle (smaller, to go faster), or on the engine (bigger, to go faster + the blades will go fasters)

i've also got some chrome bumper paint to make it look even closer to my car...
