Help requested on the flippability of BB exh manifolds
Since there seem to be a couple of us persuing the Turbo induction method, me being one of them, I just made a trip to the yard, found 3 BB trucks 2 sets of manifolds were gone. Trying to get the last set I snapped the pass in 1/2. Well I did a test fit to find out that the center dump portion curves in soo much to clear the frame rails that it hits the valve covers with a 1 to 1 1/2 gap between the mating surfaces. So these are a no go. There is one other off beat manifold I can think of that might work. The driver side manifold from a BB van. It looks like the small block style. I dont have one to try. So could anyone with a BB sitting around and some diff manifolds do some quick test fitting for me and everyone else? I guess about 1/2 inch should be good enough to pervent from burning the valve covers. Trying to avoid the custom built header thing. Thanks to all that can help
