Default RB Dist Identifying

I will be going to a swap meet this weekend and will be looking for two stock type distrubitors for RB type engs.Can someone tell me a easy way to tell the diffrence from B and RB ones,maybee give me a shaft length meausrment or some good way to know which ones I need.Thanks to all.

An RB distributor will measure slightly over 4 1/8" from the end of the shaft to the flange that sits in the block.

Thanks John. Ill assume that its from the bottom of the houseing to the tip of the shaft.

No, not to the bottom of the housing but to the flange that contacts the block.
The distance from the mounting flange to the bottom of the housing varies over the years, so it's best to measure from the mounting flange to the tip of the shaft.
