340 connecting rods

Can anyone please tell me what the correct part number is for
stock '70 340 connecting rods or where I can find this information.

I can only tell you what came out of my '73 340. It was built in late '72 and had the cast crank and low compression pistons, but here goes anyway.

P/N is 3418645. The C/L to C/L length is 6.123".

Yep, but they need to be rebushed or whatever the machine shop does to them. I'd go with new rod bolts too.

In one of my books it lists 340 rods as #2899496 for 68-73 model years

My book may not be the authority but, the only rods made for 340's had a casting number of 2899496.
PN 3418645 is for 74-86 318 and 71-86 360.
