I own a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with the off road package. This pkg. includes posi. and 4:10 gears. I like the truck well enough but I'm afraid it's the slowest thing I've ever owned. I wonder if any of you kind Mopar people can help me, you see I can handle a vehicle that get's good gas milage, but might be a little slow, OR, a vehicle that get's bad gas milage, but is pretty quick, but not one that is slow and get's bad gas milage to. So, I have purchased a few performance parts for it in the hope that it will end up being quicker off the line, where I really want some power. The part's I bought include,(1) a forty series street and strip flowmaster muffler/ with 2.5" in and out ends,(2) a stage two Jet chip,(3) a set of JBA stainless steel headers that are ceramic coated inside and out,(3) a Volant cold air induction system/with a K/N filter element,(4) a complete set of Crower roller rocker arms with a 1:7 ratio, and all related parts like new studs, longer push rods, guide plates, surelok lock nuts..................My question for anybody who might really know is what can I expect from this combination of parts once there all installed on my 360 Magnum engine with the 4 speed automatic??? Will it be quicker off the line or did I make a mistake in purchasing and installing any of this equipment?? As of now it's all still sitting in the original boxes because I will not have any time to put it all on untill the first week in June. Please help me if you can. There must be somebody out there who is savey enough to know. Reply here or E-MAIL me at
