The new Magnum heads do not have a rocker shaft like the older style engines, they are mounted more like the Chevy setup, but I don't know the specific setup.
It could be one of the rockers has loosened up?
Being a 2001, you should still be under warrenty?

The stock rockers I think are non adjustable. I have a full set from my crate 360 that I took off and I think they bottomed out on the stud as the proper adjustment. How long did you wait before running the synthetic oil? Should not make a difference with the valvetrain since it has a roller cam. Just curious.

I have heard form some scuttlebutt that the synthetic oil tends to make the valvetrain abit more noisey. I don't know why, but I did notice that with my girlfriends car after I switched to synthetic it was a bit more noisey when fired up.
