Default 4 Post Lift Collapse

This link was scent to me and thought it may of intrust to us residenchial lift owners. I own a Perfect Park lift an have been following this thred closely.

I feel for the guy, what a disaster.

I'm sure he had to change his britches after everything stopped moving.

Good freakin story! Good lookin out!
Feel real bad for this guy. I want a lift. Not that one though.
I'll have to go back and read it later. Find out the heads up on that.

Ouch. i don't wish that upon anybody. but, if you look at the pics that he posted, it looks like the pulley that's *at fault*, was running without a nut on it's bolt for quite some time. No wonder that the cable would slip off of the pulley, and the lock wouldn't work right. But that's just what I see. i could be wrong, and I'm sure somebody with 2 corvettes doesn't want to hear that from a guy with a blown up Mopar.

Imagine a Winged Warrior getting that damage. Yeah, the insurance company would fix it (with what parts, who knows) but the value would be substantially decreased!
"Hello, this is XXX insurance, about your claim......so that is a '69 Charger, right....and the blue book is about 2200 dollars. The repair cost is substantially more than the value of the car so we are going to total it and cut you a check for the blue book value. No?.....Well we already crushed the car...I am truly sorry....You did read the fine print of your policy, right?" ......BANG!!
