Question E-Body rear wings functional?

Do the original E-Body wings actually provide any aerodynamic advantage at speed? I would like to stabilize my 70 Cuda but am not a fan of the 'Fast and Furious' wings. If anyone knows of any alternative method to plant the back of an E-Body at higher speeds, please let me know.

It works! From the bine there done that camp.
It won't provided a ton of force tho. It'll help.
In the past, I have had my Cuda @ 140+ mph. Floored...WOT..4th gear till she stopped reving.
276 peg leg- 29 inch rear meats, 6800 rpm's.
The damn wind slowed me down. But thats alllraight. Been there done that AND NOT RETURNING! Yikes! It get scary up there!
She did run straight and didn't float around.

Instead of the wing, try the front spoiler/ air dam. If you keep it from under the car, you'll see more of a dif than with the rear- but the rear helps too

I have read that the Go wings were set for neutral effect, but that the TA spoiler put reasonable downforce on the rear. We run a TA spoiler in the rear, and a big spoiler in the front. With the front down 1 degree, we are very stable to 150 mph.

My '79 Dodge Aspen R/T has a pretty good size rear spoiler on it from the factory, but I'm sure the mounting bolts would rip out of the cheap looking plastic before it could put much downforce on the car. I've had it up around 115 a few times and the spoiler didn't fly off, which was my bigger concern.
