Default big cams vs. catalytic convertors

is it true that a large overlap cam will ruin a catalytic convertor ?
any ways around this ?

excess unburnt fuel will clog a cat up for sure! it's just the nature of the way they run. There really isn't a legal way around it. keep an efficient cam in it, cut the cat off, or hollow the cat out. other then that, you will have to replace the cats frequently.
