I have a 99 Ram w/ Infinity system. Can anyone give me directions to hook up an aftermarket amp and speakers. I ws told I needed a "line converter". I do have a pioneer 5 channel amp w/ Kenwood 7 band equalizer. I don't mind changing factory speakers with Kricket Impulse units if necessary. Please, please send advice. Thanks guys.

Yes you will need line converter and you will need to change the factory speakers (front 6x9's rear 5 1/4)to use that amp.If you want to you can still use the factory tweeters, but you have to wire them to the amp also.Install the line converter to the speaker wires behind the factory deck then run an RCA cable to the EQ.At the EQ run more RCA's to the amp (front, rear,& sub)
