Question 1966 273 solid lift s.b good or bad? what can i do?

I HAVE A 1966 273 SOLID LIFT SMALL BLOCK AND I NEED SOME TIPS ON BUILDING IT TO RUN! IM PUTTING IT INTO A 1987 DAKOTA
AND WISH TO KNOW IF IM MAKING A MISTAKE HERE OR NOT. ANY INFO IS GREATLY APPRICIATED! WANT A GOOD STREETER AND WANT TO SUPRISE A FEW CAMARO'S AND MUSTANGS. HELP HELP

I'll be honest with ya Steve. A Dak. is a little heavy for a 273. The lil'engine can scream. It's just down on cubes. 45 cubes! Think about that a second. Theres a diff between the 400 & 440 for sure!
There are 318's littering the land. 360's are aplenty in the yards. Why not go for the extra cubes?
I would keep the mech. arms and P-rods. There expensive new!
Give the rest to the swap/4 sale section. Make a buck or 2.
