SB Head Identification
I have a set of small block heads that I bought used 20+ years ago that came with 2.02 intake valves, don't know the exhaust valve size. The number 360 is cast into the top of the head under the valve cover. Is there a list of Mopar heads, identifying features and general performance potential available? Thanks for the help!

The best I have found, hope it helps.

But you will need to look at the other numbers on the head for the listing to help. My SB heads say 360 as well but are 1.88/1.60 so there must be different castings marked 360 or yours have been upgraded. |

Thanks MoPaul.
Which ones are referred to as X, J, etc. heads. Any opinions which are more desirable. |

There the ones with an "X" or "J" cast into the head. Can't miss them. There on the outside near the spark plug hole.
The X is more desired. The newer units sold by MoPar are the best to get. There hi-swirl units. Check out hughes for what they do to them. http://hughesengines.com/www/hughesengines/ |
