Wiper motor question
I have a 69 Roadrunner with a melted park switch in the wiper motor. I bought a 73A-body wiper motor to replace my current motor. I don't know how to connect the cam/short arm assembly on the end of the wiper motor through the firewall to the wiper arm assembly inside.
I rewrote the above several times and I know it's still confusing since I don't know the terminology. Let me try another approach: The wiper motor has a cam/socket thingy on the end. On my old motor, this cam/socket thingy is bigger than on the 73 motor although the shape is the same: (__). The cam/socket thingy connects to a short (3.5") arm that is offset. This arm ends with a connector that is obviously supposed to go through the firewall into the wiper arm assembly under the dash. I don't know how to connect the short arm assembly to the wiper arm assembly. Any tips? Terry |

The wiper motor has the arm attached to it with a plastic clip that you can find at most auto parts stores in the HELP section I think. I found mine at AutoZone.

Hammer74, THANKS!!!
That's EXACTLY the info I needed. I printed your pic and will take it with me. The attachment mechanism from my 69 motor was quite involved with springs and rotors and stuff and it was apparent from what I could tell that the 73A motor used something completely different. Terry |
