Default Nitro. 360??

what do I need to do to make this 360 hold up to NOS? I have a stock block and 2.02 cast heads thats it sofar. what kind of crank, rods (forged pist, right?) total seal rings Im sure. Other than that I dont know. I only want about 75 to 100 more hp with the NOS. Any help is good help!!

75 to 100 shot isn't bad...yes, forged pistons, do you have J heads? those will be fine. what kind of carb? fuel pump? the fuel pump must be able to pump at LEAST 5 psi. also, its a good idea to have electronic ignition, not points or anything stock...one small misfire and BOOM! catastrophic engine failure.....otherwise known as shrapnell.... what kind of system are you thinkin about? i have the Holley V8 Cheater System that is about 150 shot to 200 shot of NOS....

also, fuel should be as high octane as you can get... me and my dad built a 2 gallon fuel cell that we are going to fill up with racing fuel and run a second fuel line only for the NOS with another pump...

nitro and nos are way different things.

anyway, forged is the way to go. most stock v8's can stand up to about a 125 shot without much problem. forged is just an extra safety factor.

Default ok, NOS 360

Yes my heads are "J"s made to fit the 2.02 valves,carb Im thinking of a Edel. or Carter 600-650?(Nevr ran Holly carb yet )Igniton is a Malery Unilight. Int. man right now is a mopar alum. dual plain. thinking of the Edelb. air gap??

If it helps the block is a stock 360 out of a 78 ramcharger.
