I'm currently restoring a 73 Charger SE, and I read somewhere that Richard Petty used to drive a 73 Charger SE in Nascar. I've bben wanting to sell the car for around $700, I've got it in primer, and it has a 318 out of a 69 Charger. Is it worth more if Petty drove one like it? It needs new seats, and some new floor welded in, but for the most part it is a very nice car. I'm rebuilding a 400 to put in it that will have around 400 ponies. Do I need different motor mounts to go from the 318 to the 400? It has many extras on it, like a B&M Shifter, crager performance rims, and a Grant GT steering wheel. Do you think that I should ask more? So far I've only advertised over the internet, but would like to sell it so I can buy a 1950 Plymouth businessman's coupe. My father used to own it, and I would like to restore it and give it to him. If anybody has any responses, please e-mail me at fury95@hotmail.com MOPAR OR NO CAR!!!

the magazine hi perf mopar has a company that sells motor mount to install a 400 into a 318 or small block mopar k-frame rather inexpensively. my 1970 charger is worth about 5-7k with a 360 in it. your 73 charger is probably worth a little less if restored with a base coat clear coat paint job and interior work completed too. you will need the big block 727 tranny too, the 904 or 727 small block tranny wont fit. good luck , bruce
